The respect given to you if you’re a man in the entertainment business, and the respect given to you if you’re a woman in the entertainment business: all perfectly summed up in one idiotically thought out line of questioning.
I keep a bottle of pills by my desk so when people come over with bad news I can sigh heavily, reach for the bottle and throw back “some pills” like I have a stress related “condition” and I’m just barely hanging on. It’s just advil.
